My goal is to take at least one "good" photograph with my DSLR each day, complete any post-processing it may need, and share it on social media. By this I mean I intend for each photo to be well thought out, properly composed, focused, exposed, etc., not just the quick snapshots of everyday life (although I love those too). I've done similar challenges for the span of a month a few times, and it really sharpened my skills as a photographer. I can only imagine the results of doing so for an entire year!
For the month of January I'm following the January Themes outlined on MCP's Photo a Day Challenge for 2015. I'll probably do so for other months as well. I find that sticking to a specified topic forces me to get more creative, and the "Free Theme Fridays" still allow me to go rogue when I wish it.
