Hi, and welcome to my site! I took a round-about path getting into photography. After earning my BS in Electrical Engineering and working as a Failure Analysis Engineer for several years, my husband and I decided to have children and that I would take on the ever challenging career of Stay-at-Home Mom.

In my down time, I ran a recipe blog…and that’s when I fell in love with the camera. I wanted the pictures I posted with my recipes to be as mouth-watering as anything you’d see in those fancy magazines! So I started learning more about photography and investing in more and more equipment.

When my first child was born, I decided to learn even more. Children, it turns out, are not quite as skilled at sitting still while photographing them as, say, a bowl of potato salad. Back to the drawing board I went!

Thanks to the support of family and friends, who allowed me to practice on their little ones, classes at the New York Institute of Photography and The Studio of Photographic Arts, and, of course, my husband, who has been cheering me on for ages, I was able to turn this passion into a new career.

I currently work out of a small home studio, where I mostly do children's portraiture, headshots, and food photography. I also have access to a much larger studio in Manchester, NH on an as-needed basis, and I shoot on location, both indoors and out. I'm fully insured and carry redundant equipment on all shoots.
